I have been into photography since 1964. In basic training at Fort Jackson, they had a dark room.
I do know a bit about taking photos but time lapse is brand new.
As I bug people and learn new things or my mistakes I will revise this page.
I will not dabble into raw or processing by the many kinds of photo editing programs.
After I figure out how to capture the photos, I will use Windows Movie Maker because most people have that with their Windows.

One of many videos on taking time lapse
Sky condition, check the Weather report
Check the cloud speed
Format your memory card
Reduce the image size
Adjust the camera sleep mode to the longest time
ISO 100
Set aperture for the to the smallest for the greatest depth of field, look at the shutter speed
White balance ???
(so much conflicting advice on the shutter speed/aperture)
Select lens mm..
Frame
Manual mode
Set the aperture and shutter speed at the settings you viewed before putting it in manual
Manual focus
Take 1 pic every 5 sec (12 pics = one min of video)
This device has many different names at the top so there is one for your camera.
Intervalometer / shutter release timer
Delay 00:01'00"
Long 00:00'00"
Intvl 00:02:00"
N 30
Music note.. doesn't matter
Press Set
Intvl = 2 min, N=30 ). Do not let it swing in the wind.
This will delay 1 minutes before it starts, take a pic every 2 minutes and take 30 photos.
