An intervalometer is used to track stars or watch plants grow, taking a pic every so often but they would be great to be your personal photographer.
Lots of phone cameras have apps that do this but you can get one for your camera (less than $35)
* Make sure your background is not cluttered.
* Back the tripod far enough so it will capture all of you in the frame.
Say you want 7 shots of each pose, you can set the timer for any amount of pics and the time between shots..
The camera is your photographer, only you see the pics and decide which to share. .

Settings
* Delay = how long to wait until the time lapse starts
* Long, how long to keep the shutter open if a long exposure is needed. Regular pics 0
* Intvl = how much time between photos
* N = number of pics to take (or set to endless)
* Music note, if you want to know each time the shutter is clicked.
Hold down button 5 to turn it on.
Once the device is on and settings are made, press button 5 to start or stop the time lapse
When finished, hold down button 5 to turn the device off.
Once the device is on, press the set button
Press the arrows left or right to select the field you want to set
With the field highlighted, press up or down to fill in the
00:00'00" hour, min, sec that you want that field to use
hr:mn!sc
Delay: How long you want to wait till it starts
Long: How long you want it to hold the shutter open, long exposures
Intvl: Time between each pic taken
N: Number of pics to take up to endless
Music note: if you want to hear when the pic is taken
Once the fields are set, press (6) set again, then press (5) start/stop to begin or stop if in progress.
